4th of July

A 3 day weekend that we really enjoyed. We were invited to Felicia to check out the 4th of July parade at their neighborhood, swim in their pool and bbq.
The theme for the parade was green...

The kids wanted to go to the pool...pronto!

We stayed at Felicia's all afternoon, hanging out by the pool, eating, minling with Felicia, Adam and Corbin's friends. We had a really good time!

The following day Ana came to take care of the kids and me and Mike went mountain-biking. We went to Russian Ridge which is up in the mountains and I love to bike there beacause the nature is just so beautiful, the trails narrow and there are not a lot of people around. In the afternoon we wee invited to a bbq at the Parks' house.

Jess made these super-delicious margaritas.

The kids had a great time playing. And boy did they play. All afternoon/evening...

Gina and Jess had prepared a yummy dinner that we all enjoyed.

I must say it was a great bunch of Parks' friends gathered...we really enjoyed hanging out with this great crowd!
Sunday we went to the public pool in Palo Alto, Rinconada Pool. The kids love the big kiddie-pool. We brought lunch (below Linn and Carl are enjoying daddy's crepes) and had a great day in the warm weather.

Linn now also wants to go the the big pool to jump from the sping-board. She sure is fearless. Check out the movie for her jump (Carl also likes to jump but when he wanted to get up on the spring-board we did not let him...he will have to wait until next year)

What a wonderful weekend...and now we have only 6 days left until we go for a month to Sweden. Life is pretty good!
