Girls weekend in Big Sur |
|
| Turning 40 and I thought it would be great fun to get together my girlfriends for a weekend away. So I rented a place (actually a re-done barn) in Big Sur, right in the middle of beautiful nature. In order to make the weekend longer me and Cynthia decided to go down there earlier than the others. We started out with a fabulous lunch at Post Ranch Inn, situated right on top of the cliffs above the ocean. What a view! | |

| We went to check out the barn where we were all staying, and boy was that place a jackpot. Gorgeous views from all sides, a funky interior - just perfect for our purposes - hanging out with girlfriends, a big room for yoga in the mornings, opportunity to help out with milking the goats in the mornings, a hot tub..etc, etc... | |

| Cynthia and I also got in a hike to the beach before hooking up with the group of girls that arrived in the afternoon. | |

| The next girls to arrive were Cathy, Eva and Caoline. We went for dinner and went back for the barn with some margarithas, dancing and a bunch of laughter | |

| The next group of chicks arrived late, but soon got into the mood...Caroline had made up this game of things that happened in my birthyear 1969. A fun quiz that team Tilda and Meg won! | |

| Next morning we all jumped into the hot tub. Aperfect way to start a day! | |

| After the hike we went to Esalen for a massage and use of their famous hot springs. Since this is a place where some folks like to bathe naked I do not have this part of the weekend documented. But for those of you who have not been there, it is a cool place! The massages were fabuous, mine was one of the best massages I have ever had! The whole experience was just soooo relaxing. And then off for dinner at Big Sur Bakery and Restaurant. | |

| More margarithas back at the barn. The birthday hat and the girls surprised me with this fabulous presentation. Each of them had written down something about me, on how they met me, what they like about me and how our relationship has influenced them. And boy, talk about felling good after all those presentations, a big booster for the ego! Thank you girls! And also thank your for the beautiful Efva Attling necklace, I LOVE it! | |

| Some of the girls headed out early on Sunday but most of us stayed. We had a looong morning/breakfast session with laughter and tears. Some REAL girl talk...if you know what I mean! After that we had another yoga/stretching session with Gina and headed out for yet another hike. | |

| A wonderful weekend with GREAT girlfriends. It was relaxing, filled with fun activities, laughter, tears, dancing, good food and drinks, spa, I could not have had a greater time with you girls! Thank you so much for making it a weekend I will never forget! | |
